On February 4th, 2021, in collaboration with Amplify Louisville, Rockridge Venture Law® hosted a virtual workshop on IP 101 for Startups.
The presentation by Kevin Christopher and Lauren Hughes provided an overview of intellectual property and what to prioritize in early stage development. Covering the 4 pillars of IP — patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets — Rockridge® attorneys surveyed the added value of IP, securing your IP rights, and creating offensive and defensive strategies for protecting your ideas.
Louisville and its surrounding region represent a critical section of the Appalachian Innovation Corridor, and Rockridge® looks forward to serving Louisville’s supercharged entrepreneurial scene in the future. In particular, Rockridge’s focused practice areas of branding, e-commerce, intellectual property, and privacy law are particularly relevant to ensure the success of Louisville’s emerging businesses.
The slide deck from the presentation can be accessed here, and a recording of the event will be available soon.
