RVL® Launches B Tennessee: A Tennessee B Local Community for B Corps
Rockridge Venture Law® has partnered with with fellow B Corps Patagonia Nashville, Nisolo, Avocado, and Whiteboard to launch B Tennessee, a statewide initiative around corporate social responsibility.
B Tennessee promotes the formation and development of benefit corporations and business certifications as B Corps. B Tennessee is modeled after “B Local” groups like B Local Asheville and B Local Georgia, which foster community engagement and development of best practices around corporate social responsibility. B Tennessee events and resources are open to all who are currently or are interested in using business as a force for good. As Certified B Corps, the B Tennessee founders are committed to –
- Balancing purpose and profit;
- Community engagement;
- Accountability and interdependence; and,
- Sustainable, just business practices.
Initial B Tennessee events will rotate between Chattanooga and Nashville, and will include networking socials, summits, and environmental and social impact projects.
Collectively, B Tennessee companies will make enhancement of place commonplace.
